Description
Switchable glass with PDLC technology (polymer dispersed liquid crystal) can easily transform a space from open and shared, to private and intimate, through darkening properties.
PDLC is an active smart glass technology, which requires electricity to start and stop. When low voltage is applied (ON position), the molecules align in a formed manner, allowing the lights to pass directly and making the glass transparent. As the electricity is turned off, the LC molecules scatter randomly, blocking the penetration of light and the glass becomes opaque.
